October 8th, 2015 – Technology Depository Agency (TDA) has been invited to attend a 2 days Cloud South East Asia Forum held at Connexion@Nexus, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. The conference organized by Informa, in partnership with MDec that brings together the C-level decision makers from across South East Asia to share the insight of cloud business models and implementation strategies, enterprise mobility and mobile devise management, big data, security and Internet of Things (IoT).There were over 300+ ICT professional participated with 17 topics had been presented during the 2 days conference.
Cloud computing is the backbone of today’s connected, digital world and enables to the Internet of Things (IoT) which is set to transform businesses and disrupt markets. The participant had gain a valuable inputs by the IT decision makers from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand which are now driving their businesses forward through cloud and mobility solution.
In respect to Industrial Collaboration Program (ICP), the ICP Strategy Document (ISD) for National ICT is currently under development phase by TDA where cloud technology has been identified as part of the ICT area. Nevertheless, cloud technology is closely related to cybersecurity where it is a primary issue highlighted in the ISD that need to be focused on. Few threats has been addressed on the cloud security which is a mere myth related to “perspective” of unsecured, unencrypted data within the cyberspace.
Malaysia today have a matured cloud technology with an increase demand in global cloud market, cloud computing, big data and IoT been foreseen as a next source of national economic growth and job creation in near future. TDA is also looking forward for any opportunities in promoting local industries to participate as a potential recipient in collaboration with Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) cloud initiative in helping them to work with foreign company whenever demand needed through ICP program.
