Yesterday, TDA made a courtesy call to CEO of Yayasan Inovasi Malaysia (YIM), YBrs. Puan Sharmila Mohammad Salleh as part of our engagement with strategic agencies involved with technology and innovation to explore the possibilities of collaboration as well as to compliment both of the agencies.
Led by the CEO of TDA, YBrs. Dr. Sharoul initiated the session by briefly explained on TDA’s roles and functions in managing ICP and how ICP can be leveraged and benefitted to obtain value-added elements to local projects for national economic growth. He then further explained the industry landscape to give an overview of what the industry needs to have solid sustainability.
CEO of YIM, YBrs. Puan Sharmila also presented her organization corporate profile highlighting various initiatives particularly innovation projects under the High Impact Programme (HIP6) which focuses to develop inclusive innovation products that can benefit the local community, especially for those low-income people. She also added, YIM also aims to enhance the social innovation that helps to boost economic growth.
As an organization under MOSTI, YIM has a lot to offer in terms of innovation capacity that would generate a potential area of collaboration between TDA and YIM. Dr. Sharoul Jambari then proposed to explore the possibilities of enabling Transfer of Technology and Commercialization of Innovation in Malaysia through leveraging ICP initiatives.
TDA is also proud to support the Malaysia International Tech Summit 2021 (MITS 2021) as a GOLD Partner that will take place during EXPO DUBAI 2020 in October 2021 whereby YIM is the main organizer of the event.
