ULSAN, 7 November 2016 – Technology Depository Agency Berhad (TDA) and Ulsan College (UC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) today, in relation to the human capital development in Malaysian Shipbuilding & Ship Repair (SBSR) industry. The MoU was signed by Dato’ Zailani Safari, Chief Executive Officer of TDA and Dr Heo Jeongseok, President of Ulsan College.
On this occasion, UC shall facilitate Malaysian training centers by providing training place for upskilling and internship at industry in South Korea. This will include providing the trainers and training facility. TDA through its Industry Development and Advisory Division plays its role in assisting industry players that intend to develop their capability and lift to a higher level of competency which include the area of human capital.
“In our inspiration to adopt Korean Best Practice (KBP), TDA will assist interested local training providers to jointly develop training modules and to the extend having Korean experts attach in Malaysia.” said Dato’ Zailani Safari.
The MoU was signed during TDA three-day industrial visit program in Ulsan from 6 – 8 November 2016. Dato’ Zailani is accompanied by Azman Omar, Senior Director of TDA, and Anuar Mohd Noor, Director.
