National ICP Awareness Seminar 2019

 TDA in collaboration with Ministry of Finance hosted National Industrial Collaboration Program (ICP) Awareness Seminar 2019 at Ministry of Finance Auditorium Hall and it was attended by more than 150 government procurement officers all across the Ministries and agencies.

We had the honor of having the Secretary-General of Treasury, Datuk Ahmad Badri Mohd Zahir to officiate the Seminar. During his speeches, he mentioned that ICP has been fundamental in catalyzing national economic growth through collaboration programs triggered by government procurements.

The Seminar was kicked off by the first presentation by Mr. Azmil Fahmy of Government Procurement Division, Ministry of Finance explaining the policy of which governs the ICP. It was then succeeded by Mr. Kamarul Azhan, TDA's general manager presenting on the role and function of TDA in implementing the ICP policy.

The seminar ended with a forum discussing the topic of "ICP: A Catalyst for National Economic Growth" and it was moderated by En. Rafidi Mat Dahan, general manager of TDA. The panelists were selected to represent both the government and the industry and they were Dato' Othman Semail, Deputy Secretary-General of Treasury, Dato' Zailani Safari, CEO of TDA, Mdm. Treesna Nadia Johar, Principal Assistant Secretary of Defence Industrial Division, Mr. Sampson Yap, Deputy General Manager of Truckquip Sdn. Bhd. and Mr. Abdul Manaf, Director of SMH Rail Sdn. Bhd.

The forum took a little bit more than an hour discussed primarily on how ICP has become an essential tool to harness the advance technology, expertise, skills and knowledge possessed by foreign entities through collaboration programs triggered by government procurements.
