This project is to enable maximization of local content through service and local sourcing of parts and components. These activities will provide platforms for the local company to contribute to the development, production,and service of main AFC equipment under Main Procurement Contract..
The Local recipient for this project is Content Capital Sdn Bhd.Theirscope of works includes:
a) Supply of AFC equipment:
b) Local assembly of parts and components
c) Establishment of assembly plant and storage
d) Support in Inspection, Testing and Commissioning, QA, and QC, etc.
IRCO has provided all the necessary support and training to Content Capital team, during every stage of their works. This will aid Content Capital to develop the know-how knowledge related to MRT2 AFC project. In addition, continuous supervision by IRCO experts will guarantee that all works, and supplies are being handled as per defined/required procedures with the highest quality possible.
Furthermore, local service and assembling of components in Kuala Lumpur has facilitate and improve the project execution, maintenance services and monitoring of the system. It will mainly consist in a set of activities, to be fully defined, including equipment supply and assembling, software and hardware configuration, testing and commissioning, maintenance, etc.
THE FOLLOWING LOCALIZATION TASKS HAS BEEN CARRIED OUT:
a) Major services have been carried in the facility included inspection, testing and commissioning, software installation and quality procedures at the rented facility in Shah Alam for equipment warehouse and production/ assembling works.
b) Local technical team has been trained for the specific works, before starting and during the execution. This is a very important element to promote a knowledge-based economy in which local professional will acquire skills that could be used in future projects.
c) In addition, through this ICP project, the local team will be able to acquire the knowledge and skills related to AFC in the context of their scope of work and beyond, as IRCO experts has supervising and monitoring closely. This will allow Content Capital to be prepared for further opportunities and even successfully participate or collaborate in other bids and trade in the region.
d) IRCO Engineers has technically supervise the whole process and tasks to guarantee that the defined/required procedures are properly followed and implemented.
e) Quality control throughout all processes.
This ICP project deliverables are the same deliverables under Main Contract pertaining Content Capital scope of works. Therefore, the scheduling of this ICP project if reflecting IRCO’s Main Contract milestones and key dates.
