Working Visit to Jimah East Power Station (JEP)

Port Dickson, 10 Sept 2020- The IMU- DSU team had the opportunity to pay a working visit to Jimah East Power Station (JEP) which was officiated by KBDYMM Tuanku Mukhriz Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir, Yang di-Pertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan in March 2020.

This is the largest power station in Negeri Sembilan and has the capability and capacity to produce 2,000 megawatts (MW) at optimum level (contributing to 10% of the country's electricity demand) which has triggered the Offset Programme, 3B Clean Coal Fired Power Plant in 2013.

The visit aims to provide exposure on the operation process of power station that uses Ultra Super Critical technology which is more environmentally friendly than the conventional coal power plants.
